Im wondering if a scripture scholar might know this… I read a commentary on the last line of our Gospel: John 8:11 that indicates that the verb is not “sin” but actually more like spear… As in “from now on don’t miss the target”…

I’m not a Greek scholar so I could not say. However, I think sin is a form of missing the mark.
